Charli xcx brought an unexpected guest to the stage during her Los Angeles concert on Saturday, October 17, joining forces with Chappell Roan for a performance of her 2014 hit Boom Clap.
The surprise took place at the Kia Forum during Charli’s Music, Fashion, Film Tour. Before introducing Roan, Charli explained to the audience that she had invited a friend to perform an older song, but the singer would only agree if they performed Boom Clap.
The duet marked Charli’s first live performance of the track since 2023, bringing one of her early breakthrough hits back into the spotlight.
Roan wasn’t the only special guest that evening. PinkPantheress appeared to perform Stateside, while the Dare joined Charli for an extended version of Guess.
Charli’s current North American tour supports her album Music, Fashion, Film, released July 24, 2026.
Meanwhile, Roan is preparing to headline her own two-day Los Angeles festival, Super Graphic Spectacular, adding another major appearance to her October schedule.
